Today is Friday. It FEELS like Saturday because David was home. Tomorrow is Saturday, it makes me dizzy trying to keep it all straight. Tomorrow my strange, wild and wonderful friends are coming over for worship and fellowship and ministry. They were here two weeks ago and God came to the party and lives were changed. I expect that that was a warm up for the day after tomorrow.
Jubilee is starting to talk about Poland. She is two and a half years old and only knows that Poland is at the end of a plane ride with Momma and only Jubi and Momma are going. Poland, Costco, it is all the same to Jubi.
It is getting real, I mean the tickets are purchased, the dates are on the calendar. Jubilee's passport is in the system, but I hope not too deep in the system. I have to find a suitcase, find out if a car seat counts as luggage or if I can still bring the suitcases. I want to take oil paints with me and I don't know how that works either. Do I ask or just hope to get them on the plane. I need a suitcase. I can get an inexpensive one in Dallas, but Dallas is really far, well, not really, but far enough. Snacks? What do I take to entertain myself and a two year old for 16 hours of flying? I think it will be fine. I am not really a detail person and maybe that is just as well.
David is teaching me to blog. I did some serious blogging in Poland when I was there with the kids in 2004. I liked it, but it never seemed to work into life after I got home. I was reading some of it last week and I don't remember writing it. It will be interesting (I HOPE!) to read what I write this time further down the road.
The road? Less traveled? Usually there is a GOOD reason why a road is "less traveled". Not going to contemplate that too much. IT IS ADVENTURE TIME! Adventure for Jubi and me as we travel. Adventure for David and Ruth and the boys to have us out of the way. Adventure for those we know and love and love us (or don't) as they determine how to deal with another adventure. FUN FUN!
Maria always tells me, "God knows." God, Abba Imma, I am so glad you know.
